Peaceful Contemporary Retreat in Vancouver: The Hotchkiss Residence

The Hotchkiss Residence was designed by Scott Edwards Architecture and is located in Vancouver, Washington. Developed in a sumptuous contemporary fashion, the home reigns over the Columbia river, taking full advantage of its views. The total surface of the building is 2,000 square feet (185 sqm), which is just enough for a retired couple to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable life. The living room is the focal point of the residence and is a definite eye-catcher. Dynamic and opened towards the river, it gives the owners a chance to feel the pulse of every new day while drinking coffee or relaxing near the fireplace. The living room is also highly modern, featuring minimalist furniture arrangements and vivid art works. We particularly like the kitchen/bar which brings a youthful feel to the place.
